Position
System Administrators and Engineers (Unix)
Main Job Duties:
  1. Provide System Engineering/operations support to Unix, Web Application Servers and SAN storage systems.
  2. Develop shell/Perl scripts to automate system management tasks.
  3. Monitor the systems usage and pro-actively carry out systems performance tuning to ensure high availability.
  4. Troubleshoot and resolve system performance problem.
  5. Capacity planning, system expansion and enhancement support.
  6. Backup and Tape Management, Printer Management, as well as, Storage Management.
  7. Provides consultation support for projects implementation.
Job Requirements:
  1. A Degree in Computer Science, Systems Management, Information Technology, Information System, Engineering, Science or its equivalent with at least 2 years of relevant working experience in an Enterprise environment.
  2. Two or more years of experience in Sun Solaris, IBM AIX and/or HP-UX. Linux and Windows Server experience are preferred.
  3. Proficient in Unix Scripting. SAN and HACMP experience are preferred.
  4. Good working knowledge of Networking, Firewall, Web, Proxy, Web Application Servers and Middleware systems.
  5. Knowledge in Oracle, MS SQL and/or MYSQL databases would be advantageous.
  6. Analytical and possess good troubleshooting skills.
  7. A self-initiated and pro-active team player who can work with minimal supervision.
